The Equine Care and Management 2 course is designed for knowledgeable adult horse owners with an equine studies background seeking to deepen and expand their understanding of daily horse care and management. Covering the BHS Stage 2 and ABRS Level 2 theory, with some Stage 3 content included, this course builds on the foundations of Lingfield’s Horse Care and Management 1, offering more comprehensive and in-depth knowledge suited to managing horses at a more competitive or professional level.
This course is not intended as a standalone option for beginners or average riders; instead, it best suits experienced owners who are looking to update or broaden their skills—especially those managing horses in DIY livery situations—or those preparing for a career in the equine industry but unable to attend college. While it aligns broadly with BHS and ABRS syllabuses, it also covers additional topics making it uniquely practical.
